I wrote this short poem for you
Stumbling on weak words
That I’d only want to say
On Valentine’s Day
I wonder if that’s okay
Everyday
I get nervous around you
Like a little boy
With his first Valentine gram
Maybe after class
We can walk home hand in hand
Well you know
I’d bring happiness to you
My sunniest days
Coincide your darkest gray
And I’d find a way
To bring light in place of rain
And Carrie
I planned this night out for you
These hearts do their best
To stay steady in our chests
I wanted to say…
But my mouth keeps it in check.
